Detailed Itinerary
Day One: Arrive in the Huon Valley (From 4pm by arrangement)
- Arrive in Hobart and be picked up at either the airport or in the city at pre-determined pick up points. Pick ups are between 4pm-8pm.
- Arrive at your accommodation in the Huon Valley.
- Gourmet sandwiches and drinks provided for a light evening meal.
- The evening is yours to enjoy as you settle in and relax, enjoying the beautiful vistas that all three properties provide
Day Two: Huon Valley Food Lovers Tour (5-6 Hours)
- Morning:
- Breakfast is either cooked for you or a delightful basket of farm fresh goodies is provided for self catering in your rooms, depending on your selection of accommodation.
- Then we begin with a hands-on cheese-making class at the host's private residence. Not only will you learn the art of cheese-making, but you’ll also indulge in a tasting of award-winning cheeses from Bruny Island Cheese Co and Grandvewe Cheesery.
- Midday:
- Enjoy your first tasting at a nearby winery, where you’ll sample an incredible range of wines, spirits, and fortified wines, each crafted to showcase Tasmania’s unique flavors.
- A quick stop at Poolish and Co Bakery in Cygnet lets you pick up some local artisan pastries before heading to your second tasting at Pagan Cider, known for its fruit-filled, refreshing ciders.
- Continue through the picturesque countryside to Ranelagh for a wine tasting and one-course lunch at a celebrated winery restaurant, praised by locals as the premier dining spot in the Valley.
- Afternoon:
- Visit the Honey Pot in Huonville for a honey tasting and a live beehive display. Learn about the crucial role bees play in the region’s agriculture and the distinctive flavors they contribute to the produce.
- After a short rest at your accommodation, enjoy a private, two-course dinner at the host's stunning local residence, paired with a selection of fine Tasmanian wines. This is when tour guests can appease their curiosity about the region, it's history and of course, the food. Oh and, the view is to-die-for.
Day Two: Premium Hobart Distilleries Tour (6-7 Hours)
- Morning:
- After another delicious farm-fresh breakfast, we embark on a scenic drive to Cambridge, just outside Hobart, where you’ll visit three unique, small-batch distilleries.
- Small batch distilleries are fascinating as it often means you will speak drectly with the producers. If you find a tipple that takes your fancy, grab a bottle because, the very nature of a small batch distiller means their products are rare and only available locally.
- Experience exclusive tastings of award-winning whiskies, gins, and spirits, from a delicious spiced pumpkin gin, to a Blood Orange Cocktail spirit. Our local producers bring a wide range of flavors to life.
- Midday:
- Enjoy a two-course lunch with wine at the acclaimed Frogmore Creek Winery Estate, nestled in the rolling hills of the Coal River Valley. This is one of the region’s top dining destinations, known for its exquisite cuisine and breathtaking views.
- Afternoon:
- Conclude your tour with a visit to Coal River Farm Chocolatery and Cheese Co, where you can indulge in artisanal chocolates and add to your cheese collection before your transfer back to either prebooked Hobart accommodation arranged for your convenience, or to the airport to catch your flight home.

Important Information
Availability:
- As this is a highly exclusive offering, tours run only three times a year in the Tasmanian summer. Click here to see the open tour dates available.
- Tours run from Wednesday evening to Friday evening leaving the option for guests to continue their Tasmanian experience from Saturday.
- The next tour date is released, only when the previous tour has booked out or been completed.
- Requests to switch to a different tour date is considered upon application. Please email the office on inglock@proton.me
Terms & Conditions:
- Itinerary is subject to change depending on availability, weather and road conditions
- Partial refunds do not apply if any tour components were possible but guests chose not to proceed
- Tour itineraries, routes and stops may change or be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, road hazards or mechanical issues.
- Pick-Up/Drop-Off Point: Return transfers from the airport and from Central Hobart hotels are included in the ticket price. Once booked, an email will be sent to you with a request for information - such as dietary requirements, flight times and so forth.
- Please ensure you are at your pick-up location no later than the scheduled departure time or by arrangement. Late arrivals and no-shows voids offer. (Although late flights due to airline disruptions could happen, we suggest arriving well before the 4pm tour start time to limit this possibility.)
Cancellations:
- Free Cancellations: Cancel up to 14 days before your departure date and receive a 100% refund.
- Partial Refunds: If you cancel within 14 days but more than 48 hours before your tour, a 50% cancellation fee will apply.
- Late Cancellations and No-Shows: For cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour, as well as for late arrivals and no-shows, the full price of the tour is non-refundable.
- Exceptions for Extraordinary Circumstances: In cases of unforeseen events such as border closures, major injuries, or a death in the family, we offer a 100% refund. Please contact us directly at inglock@proton.me to arrange this.
